Mt. Pleasant, IA- Owen Vansickel will be taking his football talents to Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Vansickel plans on majoring in communications and becoming a sports broadcaster for his future career.
Vansickel will be working on place kicking and kickoffs for the Rams. In his two seasons as the starting kicker for the Panthers he has gone 3 of 5 with his long being 42 yards. Vansickel stated that his long in practice is 57 yards. Straight forward in his demeanor, Vansickel has a clear goal in mind joining this team,
“I’m very excited, just ready to work this offseason and keep on getting stronger.”
Cornell finished last season with a 3-7 record.
