KILJ — The Iowa Association of Track Coaches has released their Week One team rankings ahead of a busy prep cross country schedule and several area teams have been recognized in the poll.
In Class 3A, Washington and Fort Madison check in in the boys’ poll. Dallas Center-Grimes is the top ranked program in 3A boys.
In Class 2A boys’, Danville-New London remains the top-ranked program in the state, as they return several from last year’s state qualifying team. They have their sights set squarely on a state championship in 2021.
The Danville-New London girls enter this week’s poll at No. 16 in Class 2A girls’ and while they graduated the terrific Addison Parrott, several key members return to this year’s squad.
In Class 1A boys’ Pekin is inside the top-10 at No. 9, Columbus Community is No. 14.
The Pekin girls’ are No. 3 in the 1A poll.
