Just before 1:00pm on May 13th, Burlington Police Officers responded to a report of an assault.
Upon their arrival, officers met with a female who stated that she had been assaulted by a male and a female driving a minivan. During the assault property was taken from the victim. The victim was transported by ambulance to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center and treated for her injuries.
Through the investigation officers identified the suspects as Allan Brown and Ashley Ferguson. Brown and Ferguson along with the minivan were located at a residence in the 800-bloclk of North 4th St. Search warrants were executed on the residence and vehicle. Brown and Ferguson were later placed under arrest. Ashley Denea Ferguson, 30, was charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and Allan Shandell Brown, 53, was charged with Aiding and Abetting Robbery 2nd Degree.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
