A rural Mount Pleasant woman was airlifted to the hospital following an electric bicycle crash near Wayland.
The crash occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Franklin Avenue.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says the 32-year-old woman crashed while operating an e-bike. She was airlifted to University of Iowa Health Care for treatment. Her current condition has not been released.
A Henry County sheriff’s deputy crashed in the 1200 block of Franklin Avenue while responding to the e-bike accident. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the deputy’s crash.
The investigations into both accidents remain ongoing.
