On May 01, at 12:41 AM, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one-vehicle crash near US 218/27 and Kentucky Avenue. During investigation it was found that Caitlyn Jade Sherlock, of Oxford, Iowa; was operating a vehicle owned by Jean Kentucky of North Liberty. Sherlock saw an animal on the side of the road, became distracted, and left the roadway. Sherlock over-corrected and lost control. The Sherlock vehicle rolled several times in the median, coming to rest on its wheels, in the median. Sherlock received minor injuries in the crash. The Sherlock/Kentucky vehicle sustained major damage and was considered a total loss. Sherlock was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
