Boys’ Golf: Mount Pleasant Finishes Third at ND-WB Invite

Burlington — Mount Pleasant’s Brevin Wilson carded a 79 and finished as the medalist, but the Mount Pleasant boys’ golf team finished in third at yesterday’s eight-team invite hosted by Notre Dame-West Burlington.

Van Buren led the way with 352 strokes, the Warriors were paced by Anthony Duncan’s 81.

Notre Dame placed second with 359 strokes, while the Panthers placed third with 360.

The Panthers were led by Wilson’s 79, Nick Matheney finished with an 89 while Reece Kempker ended with a 90.

Winfield-Mount Union placed fourth, guided by Brody Loyd and Brody Wade who both shot 94s.
