Girls’ Track: Panthers Win Pen City Relays

Fort Madison — The Mount Pleasant girls’ track team were crowned victors of the 46th Annual Pen City Relays in Fort Madison yesterday.

The Panthers had five individual champions:

  • Abby Blint, 3000m run (12:02.3)
  • Cristina Carthey, 1500m run (5:36.07)
  • Distance Medley Relay (Kendin Scheitlin, Tristian Shull, Rylyn Seberg and Cristina Carthey; 4:54.85)
  • Karsyn Lamm, 100m hurdles (16.15)
  • Jadan Brumbaugh, shot put (41 feet, 8 inches)

The Panthers also had six runner up finishes:

  • Kenna Lamm, 100m hurdles
  • Josie Gilmore, high jump
  • Abby Blint, 400m and 400m hurdles
  • Shuttle Hurdle Relay
  • Spring Medley Relay

In Class B in Fort Madison, Winfield-Mount Union’s Bradie Buffington placed first in the shot put, hurling a toss of 31 feet, 8 inches.

Wolves senior Keetyn Townsley placed second in the 100m hurdles, as well.
