Mount Pleasant — The Mount Pleasant boys’ soccer team will be back on their home pitch today when they hook up with Fort Madison (4-1) in a Southeast Conference fixture.

The Panthers (1-4) enter today’s tilt with a three-match losing skid, being outscored 20-0 in the process.

Meanwhile, Fort Madison has won four straight since falling in their opener to Notre Dame, 3-2.

The Bloodhounds have knocked off Washington, Mount Pleasant, Keokuk and Fairfield during their nice stretch of play.

Their victory over Mount Pleasant came on April 10th — a 10-nil decision.

Fort Madison is paced offensively by sophomore Xander Wellman, who leads the team with eight goals scored.

The Panthers are 7-2 in their last nine meetings with Fort Madison, however.

Tonight’s game will begin at East Lake Park at 4:30 p.m.
