Boys’ Soccer: No. 1 Nikes Roll Mount Pleasant

Burlington — The No. 1 ranked Burlington Notre Dame Nike boys’ soccer team scored seven second half goals en route to a 10-0 win over Mount Pleasant last night.

Sam Brueck and Cole Ward scored three times, while Gabe Zurita chipped in with two of his own.

Mount Pleasant was held shotless as Caden Murphy earned a clean sheet.

The loss was the Panthers’ fifth in a row, they’re now 2-12.

The Nikes improved to 17-1.

Mount Pleasant will lick their wounds and look to play spoiler in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs this this Thursday against Clear Creek-Amana.
