Boys’ Tennis: Mount Pleasant Falls to Burlington

Mount Pleasant — The Mount Pleasant boys’ tennis team suffered their second loss of the season last night when the Panthers fell to Burlington 7-2.

Owen Vansickel fell in No. 1 singles 8-4 before Jake Ensminger rallied back for an 8-2 win in No. 2 singles, defeating Hunter Ford.

Burlington then ripped off three straight wins before Lou Schimmelpfennig earned an 8-5 in No. 6 singles.

In doubles play, Burlington swept all three doubles matches.

Vansickel and Ensminger lost 8-3, Levi Graber and Tim Cam dropped an 8-5 decision while Elliot Cook and Lou Schimmelpfennig fell 8-4.

The Panthers are now 6-2 on the year.
