Galesburg (Ill.) — Iowa Wesleyan split their weekend series with Knox on Saturday, winning game one 11-1 falling in game two 8-2.
In game one the Tiger offense belted out 19 hits on Prairie Fire pitching.
Former New London prep Kara Krieger was 4-for-5 with four runs batted in and a double.
Julia Hill had three hits, including a double, and three runs scored.
Abby Dameron and Jordan Morthland combined to limit Knox to just one run.
Dameron, who hails from Danville, allowed three hits and a run over two innings.
Morthland worked four scoreless innings, yielding just four baserunners while striking out one.
In game two, Knox scored eight runs in the first inning and never looked back for the 8-2 win.
Two Wesleyan errors aided the Knox offense as none of the runs allowed by Tiger pitching were earned.
Haiden Molter pitched five innings allowing just one hit while striking out three.
Nicole Shirrell had two hits in the game two loss, driving in one.
Former Fort Madison prep Ivy Geerdes had the other RBI.
The split moved Wesleyan to 5-24.
