County Property Tax Deadline to Avoid Penalty – 3/31/26

The Treasurer’s Office reminds residents that the second half of property taxes are due on Tuesday, March 31st to avoid penalty.  The tax becomes delinquent after April 1, and the penalty includes a 1.5% interest which accrues monthly.  Payments may be made in person at the Henry County Treasurer’s Office located in the courthouse at 100 E. Washington Street in Mt. Pleasant, by mail, in the drop box outside the courthouse,  or on line at (www.iowatreasurers.org)
