On April 1, 2023, deputies took a report of a burglary of a residence at 9311 Lakeview Drive. The victim advised deputies that he found $2300 missing from a safe in his office. The victim advised deputies that he viewed surveillance footage from his security cameras and observed a female enter his residence. The victim identified the suspect as Ellie Reeves. Reeves was also observed on camera standing in front of the safe that the money was taken from. On April 3, 2023 a detective spoke with Reeves and she admitted to entering the residence and the office where the money was taken from.
On April 8, 2023, Ellie Ann Reeves, age 35, of Danville, IA was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree at the Des Moines County Jail.
