Fairfield Cross Country Results

The Boy’s and Girl’s cross country team for Mt. Pleasant participated at the Timm Lamb Cross Country Invite in Fairfield last night. Both teams did well with the Girl’s Varsity Team finishing 3rd out of 6 teams and the Boy’s Varsity Team finished 4th out of 6 teams.

The Girl’s team was paced by Emma Welcher and Belle Meador, who finished 5th and 6th with times of 21:41 and 21:47, respectively. Aliya Graber and Alexis Wagner was the next pair to finish in 23rd and 24th with times of 23:27 and 23:44, respectively. Ella McNamee finished in 30th, Jayden Housh in 38th, and Tatum Kane finished in 41st. Washington finished first as a team with all seven of their runners finishing in the top 15. Avery Rump finished in first for Fort Madison with a time of 19:35, the only sub 20-minute time.

Ben Carthey ran a superb race finishing in 2nd for the Panthers with a time of 17:37, twelve seconds faster than 3rd place. Jude Dykstra and Isaac Rynders ran well finishing in 11th and 14th with times of 18:29 and 18:38, respectively. Gabe Feldmann and Jonathan Hough finished in 24th and 26th, respectively. Tyler Johnson finished in 32nd and Christian Bracht-Wagner finished in 33rd. Washington was the top team with three runners finishing in the the top 4. Micah Rees was the top runner for Washington and the invite running an outstanding time of 16:16.

The next event for the Panthers is the Mt. Pleasant Invite next Tuesday, September 20th.
