Girls’ Golf: Panthers Finish Second in Triangular

KILJ — The Mount Pleasant girls’ golf team finished second only to top-ranked Washington at yesterday’s conference triangular.

Elli Liechty shot a 50 to lead the way for the Panthers, while Ryann Davidson carded a 55.

Kylie Walderbach added a 60 for the Panthers, who finished with 221 strokes.

Washington won with just 165.

The Panthers will host their home invite this Friday.

  • Highland 224, Winfield-Mount Union 249
    • Abbie Cooley shot a 56 for the Wolves, but it was not enough as the Highland Huskies took down the Lady Wolves in a Super Conference golf dual yesterday. Highland’s Charlie Aicher shot a meet low 44 to leads the Huskies.
  • Danville 230, Central Lee 293
    • Danville’s Natalie Wilcox carded a meet low 46 to claim medalist honors as Danville earned a Super Conference win over Central Lee. Karissa Moeller led the Hawks with a 58.
