Girls’ Soccer: Conference Champion Panthers Host Fort Madison

Mount Pleasant — Fresh off a 1-nil win over Burlington — which helped claim the Southeast Conference Title, the Mount Pleasant girls’ soccer team is back on their home pitch when they welcome in Fort Madison this afternoon.

Fort Madison enters play tonight with a record of 4-4, led by Holy Trinity volleyball ace Claire Pothitakis who has a team-high 16 goals on 35 shots this year for the Bloodhounds.

Brandy Walker is the team leader in assists with six.

Mount Pleasant’s Andrea Lopreato is making a strong push for the Conference Player of the Year.

Lopreato leads the Panthers with 17 goals on a robust 41 shots.

Emma Pieper has been the best goalkeeper in the conference with 42 saves and a sky-high 86% save percentage.

Mount Pleasant won the first matchup between the clubs 3-2 back on April 19th.
