Hawkeyes Ranked #25 in AP Preseason Football Polls

NCAAF- The preseason AP top 25 for college football has been released and Georgia is the heavyweight favorite coming into the season according to the coaches and now the media.

Michigan, Ohio State, and Alabama make up the rest of the top four, respectively. The SEC still touts the most top 25 teams with a total of six: Georgia, Alabama, #5 LSU, #12 Tennessee, #22 Ole Miss, and #23 Texas A&M.

Big Ten and Pac-12 are next on the list with five teams apiece. USC is the highest ranked team for the Pac-12 as the Trojans are ranked 6th. Iowa was not ranked in the coaches’ poll but are ranked #25 in the AP poll with a stout defense and an offense led by Michigan transfer Cade McNamara.

The Big 12 has four teams and the ACC locked in with three teams. Kansas State is the highest ranked team for the Big 12 at #16 and Florida State is ranked 8th for the ACC. Notre Dame is the only Independent school ranked at #13. Lastly, Tulane is ranked #24 as the only American Athletic Conference school.

Notre Dame and Navy will have the first game of the season on August 26th at 1:30 pm as the Midshipmen and Fighting Irish square off in Dublin.
