Henry County Supervisors Meeting Update November 14th

The Board of Supervisors room was full for their weekly update, November 14th. Caleb Waters, with the Henry county Conservation Departments was present to give his Monthly Update to the board. In the update from the Conservation department, Caleb presented a detailed proposal for a Dump Site In Henry County. The conservation is also working on some grant writing for the year 2025.

Jeff Buffington with Planning and Zoning gave an update on a few new residential addresses being added to the county registry. Jeff also mentioned the number of Land Lines being down, from 4,839 this time last year, to 4,471 current land line phones.

The Board of Supervisors had the 3rd and final reading to repeal Title IV (6) Chapter 4, the operation of ATV/UTV on certain Count Roads. This was opened for public hearing, where the room discussed this very little. Public Hearing was closed and the Board Ruled to Approve the Repeal of Title IV (6) Chapter 4, the operation of ATV/UTV on certain Count Roads. The Board of Supervisors recognize that the Iowa state law in this matter will overrule any county or city law regarding ATV/UTV.

The Henry County Board of Supervisors meet every Thursday at 9am, in the Board of Supervisors Room, Located at the Henry County Court House. These Meetings are open to the public.
