Iowa Wesleyan Golf

The men’s and women’s golf team traveled to Illinois to participate in a tournament at Monmouth College. The Tiger women dominated on Day 1, as they had the lowest team score ever recorded during the Kurt Moon era. Aubrey Duncan led the pack as she shot a 76 and had a 10-stroke lead going into Day 2. Sami Wibben was in 2nd with an 86. Michal Wohlleber was tied for 3rd with an 88. Natalie Ames shot a 93 and Keelee Razee had a 133. After Day 1, the Tiger ladies had a 35 stroke lead over the next team. Aubrey Duncan continued her dominance on Day 2, shooting an 80, winning the Monmouth invite by 20-strokes. Natalie Ames and Michal Wohlleber tied for 4th after the two days with a 179. Sami Wibben scored a 190 and finished tied for 8th. Keelee Razee finished 18th overall. The team won the Monmouth invite by 57 strokes, the first team win win since April 2021. Duncan captured her second collegiate victory and is the first Tiger to win individually since last spring.

The Tiger men were terrific on Day 1 as well as they led by 4 strokes to end the day. Brevin Wilson shot a round of 72 and led the day by one stroke. Trace White was in 4th with a 74. Brady Lukavsky shot a 76 and was tied in 7th. Tate nelson shot a 77 and Colton Sherwood had a score of 78 to place him tied for 14th. Day 2, White and Wilson paced the team as they both finished in 2nd overall with a score of 149. Brady Lukavsky tied for 10th with a total of 154. Tate Nelson shot a 159 through the 36 holes and tied for 16th. Colton Sherwood finished tied for 19th after finishing with a total of 160 over the two days. Overall, the Tiger men finished in 2nd with a team total of 611 compared to Knox College who shot a 604 as a team.

Both teams will be competing at the Simpson Fall Invite tomorrow, September 21st, at 10 am.
