Iowa Wesleyan’s Women’s Track and Field Claims Two School Records

Iowa Wesleyan- The Tigers Outdoor Track and Field teams competed at the Rittgers Invitational last weekend with the men finishing in 2nd place and the women breaking a couple of school records.

Lilly Garnsey claimed the school record in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase with a time of 12-minutes and 51.97-seconds. Her time was good enough for a 2nd place finish. Garnsey had already broken the school record a week ago with a time of 12-minutes and 52.12-seconds at the Mustang Open.

Zoi Smith took the other school record in the pole vault. In her run last Friday, she had broken the school record once and then reset her own mark with a vault of 2.15 meters or 7 feet.

The Tigers will be competing at the Cornell Invitational on April 15th.
