Looking at the weekly fuel report, gas prices average just under $3 across Iowa (2.99) this week, which is a 5 cent drop from last week. This is 55 cents cheaper than last year, according to AAA. The national average sits at $3.20.
Diesel prices fell just 2 cents, for an average of $3.32 in Iowa, which is 25 cents less than the national average and a 98-cent decrease from last year.
Natural gas prices continued to rise, up another 13 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site, currently priced at $2.96/MMbtu.
