The Burlington Police Department was made aware of individuals capturing child pornography on the internet within the Burlington, Des 
Moines County area. As a result of the investigation, on October 18, 2023, Burlington Police Detectives arrested Richard Keith Bolander Jr. for 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
