Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant Varsity Baseball is back in action tonight with a pair of games against Keokuk after an 11-5 victory over Washington on Thursday. The first game begins at 5:30 PM with the second starting at 7:00 PM both taking place at the Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mount Pleasant. Panther Varsity Baseball goes into tonight’s contests with a 3-4 overall record on the season.

Mount Pleasant Varsity Softball will have a pair of matchups with Keokuk tonight at the Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mount Pleasant. Panther Softball enters tonight’s games after suffering two losses on Thursday against Washington at Washington High School. The first games begin at 5:30 PM with the second game starting at 7:30 PM.

New London Varsity Baseball returns to the field tonight after a 10-0 victory over Kee on Friday. Senior first baseman Carter Allen went 1 for 3 at the plate, while third baseman Ryan Richey went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Senior pitcher Dereck Santiago turned in a great outing, pitching 6 full innings with 2 hits allowed, 1 walk, and striking out 8. Tiger Baseball is 6-0 on the season and returns to action tonight at 7 PM against Burlington Notre Dame, and you can catch our coverage on KILJ.

New London Varsity Softball took an 8-3 loss against BGM on Saturday. Junior third baseman Elly Manning turned in a 3 for 4 outing at the plate. Marlianna Woodsmall went 6 full innings allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits and striking out 1. Woodsmall also went 2 for 2 at the plate with a walk. Tiger Softball returns to action Tuesday night against Van Buren County. Tiger Softball goes into Tuesday’s game with an 0-7 overall record on the season.

Winfield-Mt. Union

Winfield-Mt. Union is back on the field tonight against Highland tonight at 7 at Highland High School after suffering a 6-4 loss to Wapello last Tuesday. WMU Varsity Baseball comes into tonight’s game with an 0-5 overall record this season.

Winfield-Mt.Union Varsity Softball was victorious over Columbus on Friday by a score of 8-6. Junior catcher Melina Oepping went 3 for 3 with a double and 4 RBIs, while senior shortstop Carlee Sloan turned in a 2 for 3 performance with 1 RBI and 1 walk. The Wolves return to action tonight at 7 PM at Highland High School to take on the Huskies.
