Local business leaders and human resources professionals are invited to share their workforce concerns directly with Iowa Workforce Development during an upcoming listening session in Fairfield.
The roundtable will be held Monday, October 5, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Indian Hills Community College, located at 112 South Court Street.
Senior leaders from Iowa Workforce Development will meet with area employers to discuss difficulties finding and retaining workers, skill gaps, hiring barriers and emerging workforce needs.
Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mendy McAdams said local employers are on the front lines of workforce challenges and their perspectives are critical to developing effective strategies.
The session is being organized by Iowa Workforce Development, the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Grow Fairfield.
