KILJ — Kirby Booton’s Mount Pleasant girls’ golf team won their season opener yesterday outshooting both Keokuk and Fairfield to earn the win.
Elli Liechty was the medalist for the triangular, shooting a 41 while Ryann Davidson finished second for the Panthers with a 48.
Sami Wibben shot a 50, while Kylie Walderbach finished with a 57.
The Panthers will take part in the Keokuk Invite, Thursday afternoon.
Other girls’ golf finals:
The New London Tiger girls’ golf team picked up a first place finish yesterday at Flint Hills Golf Course, beating Burlington, Central Lee, Holy Trinity, Louisa-Muscatine, Van Buren County and Wapello.
New London’s Taylor Phillips was the meet medalist, while Sophie Malott and Emma Nye placed first in best shot.
Hannah Ortberg and Saige Barron placed first in alternate shot.
