Henry County Public Health Saves Over $70,000 in Vaccines – Clinics Reopen

Kudos to the Henry County Public Health Department and Henry County Health Center Pharmacy. After a refrigeration storage issue was detected last week, Henry County Public Health staff quickly transferred and saved over $70,000 in vaccines to their back-up storage at Henry County Health Center’s Pharmacy.

KILJ caught up with Henry County Public Health Director, Dixie Moberg, after she and her team just returned from picking up the vaccines.

Moberg further described the refrigeration temperature ranges and monitoring protocols they have in place to ensure vaccine viability, and how those temps are continuously monitored by staff as well as remotely.

The Henry County Health Department refrigeration storage was repaired and tested over the weekend so they’re ready to reopen today.

Director Moberg thanked her team as well as the Henry County Healthcare Pharmacy.
