Police Investigating Criminal Mischief in Central Park Area

On 5/5/21 the Mt Pleasant Police Department began to receive numerous calls from businesses reporting criminal mischief in the Central Park square area.  It appears that some individuals gained access to roof tops damaging property and throwing stuff down to the street area causing a lot of damage to businesses. There was also damage done to storefronts with items located outside those businesses. The first reported damage was observed at 3:36 am. It is believed the other damage was done prior to this. Anyone with information or video of the suspects is asked to contact the Mt Pleasant Police Department at 385-1450
